Education

I went to the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. I majored in English, though technically I was on the Drama track - in the English department and I minored in Film Studies (theory not practice - sorry I can't work a camera!) I graduated in 2006. As the first person in my family to go to college right after High School if was important to me to finish my college degree - I worked full time almost my entire education, so I know the value of dedication, even in the face of seeming overwhelming odds.

Experience

I have helped children at every school level. From the state run Pre-K program, helping to lay the foundation for a life time of learning, through advising on college level term papers. I find that being able to provide an answer for a student is a great skill to have, but it is as equally important to be able to teach them how find the answer themselves. I think that critical thinking skills, organization and dedication go a LONG way in being a successful student.

Hobbies

I love stories - whether in a book, on screen or on the stage. I like being a part of a great narrative, regardless if I'm spectator or the creator. I love to cook, and annoy my dog. I love spending time with my friends and family and I like to make lists, if only to have the satisfaction of crossing thing off it.
